This was a great place for us to stay, so close to the beautiful beaches and Michigan City. Yes it is vintage but very cute and clean, and super dog friendly. Nice thing about the train tracks, that you hardly notice, it's a 2 car commuter train to Chicago with a stop about 5 minutes from the motel. Next time we will plan a trip into the city. We will be back!

This is a great motel with so many amenities! There's a huge wooded backyard area with a horseshoe pit, pickleball court with provided pickleballs and paddles, a fire pit with great Adirondack chairs, and chairs outside of every room, and even though it is an older hotel it has been updated with some more modern conveniences that don't take away from the charm of the 1960s or '70s style of things. The pool was undergoing some improvements/restoration/repairs while we were here. The check-in process was super easy, it's family and dog friendly, and the rooms are like a small apartment with a spacious closet, good sized bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and even a little kitchenette type setup with a table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig. A lot of thought was put into everything from the pictures hanging in the rooms to the tasseled throw pillows on the bed. It looks, feels, and smells clean, and is literally one and a half minutes from Mount Baldy. This will be our new go-to location whenever we visit Michigan City now! I love this place! 🩵
